#MusicMonday Week 28

Album Spotlight
Jessie Ware- Tough Love
I've been waiting for this album to come out for soooooooo long! If you are an avid follower of Alice Adores Apparel then you'll know I'm a huge fan of Jessie Ware, both fashion wise and musically. I've featured an abundance of her tracks in my #MusicMonday posts and even made a Steal Her Style post about her.
Tough Love is flawless. My love for it increases so much with every listen. I downloaded the Deluxe Edition as soon as was humanly possible. The album is on repeat in my car and I'm pretty sure I've given myself a sore throat from singing along at the top of my voice!
Jessie has clearly really crafted the writing and recording of every track. She's worked with incredible producers to create her own unique sound. Dev Haynes of Blood Orange & Test Icicles fame (Myspacers will get that reference!) produces the retro sound of 'Want Your Feeling'. Two Inch Punch- who worked closely with Sam Smith-features, along with Benny Blanco- the producer behind Katy Perry's 'California Gurls' & Maroon 5's 'Moves Like Jagger'. As well as incredible production, Jessie has collaborated with some impressive songwriters. Ed Sheeran co-wrote 'Say You Love Me',  Jessie's current single. 'Share It All' was co-written with the incredibly talented Romy Madley-Croft from the XX, and you can feel her presence in the track's eerie guitar. Plus the track was produced by Jessie' long term collaborator Julio Bashmore. I feel like this album shows a maturation in her sound.  I absolutely love the direction her music is going in. I'm so glad this album didn't fall by the wayside into the disappointing second album camp.
My favourite track on Tough Love changes daily. At the moment I really love 'Sweetest Song' but choosing an absolute fave is near impossible!
If you buy the album, make sure you get the Deluxe Edition because the extra tracks are so worth it!

Extras

Jack Ü feat. Kiesza- Take Ü There
Whenever this song comes on the radio when I'm driving, I cannot help but whip out my best car-eography! It's like a mad mish mash of about 3 different genres, fast and slow!
Henry Krinkle- Stay
Anyone who doesn't love this song has questionable taste...
Jeremih feat. YG- Don't Tell 'Em
This song is so sexy it hurts! Pure RnB magic!
