[As always, press play before I start. You won't regret it.]
I love Jessie Ware. Her Mercury Prize nominated debut
album, Devotion, is one of my all-time favourites. I can listen to her on
repeat all day and never get bored. Signed to PMR Records, and label mates with
the likes of Sam Smith, Cyril Hahn, Julio Bashmore and T.Williams, Jessie’s
sound is hauntingly beautiful. She has collaborated with some of the hottest
artists around; including Disclosure (check out their hugely popular remix of ‘Running’
below), Sampha, and SBTRKT. Currently touring the US, Jessie looks set for
global recognition. It’s not just the music industry championing Jessie though;
her androgynous yet super stylish look has the fashion world crushing over her
outfits time and time again.
A big fan of incorporating tailoring into her
look, Jessie is often pictured in a blazer and crop top combination. High-waisted
trousers are a must, allowing just the right amount of flesh to be on show.
These shoes are bang on trend and bring together the outfit perfectly.
This outfit is inspired by the ‘Imagine It Was Us’ video. I've
combined the colour of her dress with the cut of her jumpsuit. A couple of
statement pieces of jewellery set off the look. Jessie frequently wears large
statement hoop earrings.
Super high-waisted, skinny jeans and kimonos regularly
appear in Jessie’s wardrobe choices on and off stage. They are often paired
with a crop top to give the look a playful edge. These flatform sandals by Zara
are an easy way to add some height without compromising on comfort.
At formal events Jessie strikes the perfect balance
between statement pieces and chic simplicity. This stunning dress is perfect to
capture the effortless style Jessie is synonymous with.
